They look like underripe tomatoes to me.I hope they are good!!
I haven't tried them yet - they are very pretty - The skin is super shiny. I will let you know how they turn out. I adore Japanese eggplant grilled or in a green Thai curry sauce... maybe these will have a similar taste.
I would have wanted to try them, too! This reminds me of a series Angie of Simulacrum did in the spring, a different flower or plant each day on a lightbox.
