I drive by these great hands a couple times a week. Each hand is six feet wide and 12 feet high. The artist. Donna Billick of Davis California, created the sculpture using terazzo mosaic tiles. I love that I live in a small college town that would commission an artist to create big giant mosaic hands.

  1. This is cool.

I'm trying to remember what video game it is reminding me of. All I can remember is at some point in one level, a big hand drops down from out of nowhere and tries to grab you.......and if it does, I think you have to start again.
I'll have to ask Hubby. I'm sure he knows what game I am thinking of.

  2. This is so cool! And thanks for introducing me to a new-to-me mosaic artist. Off to look up more of her work.

  3. To me, the sculpture looks as though it is poised to squish some super- scary, massive, post-apocalyptic mega-mosquito.
