Getting Ready for Skull Appreciation Day...

28 Skulls & One Hand / illustration

This illustration reminds me of the IFC Portlandia sketch "Put a bird on it" but with skulls instead of birds.

I just received my "Skull Appreciation" button in the mail... Pretty cool! Thanks Noah!

  2. I was giving up hope for my button. Hopefully mine is on the way and not lost! I was hoping it would be here in time for tomorrow. Oh well....

    I really like this one.
(Blogger wasn't letting me comment for a few days or I would have mentioned it when you posted)

  3. Thanks!

I think you should make your own Skull Appreciation button - I just googled "Turtles Skulls" and saw all kinds of cool fossils! http://www.fossilmuseum.net/Fossil-Pictures/Turtles/Lytoloma/D1.htm

  4. I had never thought of anything like that! But for some reason the turtle skulls make me a little sad. Odd that human ones don't...

  5. Sad... oh no.... Even turtle skull-fossils from the Late Cretaceous/Early Paleocene Era? (see fossil link above)

I have a horse skull in my craft-room closet. Friends found it in the desert. I'ld like to think that it was a wild horse that passed from natural causes.
