Step One: My hand, photographed by my other hand, in front of my monitor. My monitor had a full blank screen. The camera's flash was disabled.
Step Two: The image was opened and cropped in Adobe Photoshop. Contrast and fidelity of edge were manipulated.
Step Three: The image was opened in Adobe Illustrator, where the "live Trace" tool was used... resulting in a smooth vector-based image.
